We have a few 100's of SSIS packages in our environment. Last night we moved our database from one server to another and renamed it. We now need to go into all of packages and change the connection manager to point to the new database server name.

We want to know if there is a way to create a @variablename that we can store our new server name in it (i.e. 'ELITEDB.SIRS-db') in it so we can then put the @variablename into the Connection Manager area. This way if we move servers again in another year we only need to make this change once because the new @variablename will be able to pull the new Server name.DBname.

I hope this makes sense to the masses out there?

So, i'm developing a project on vb.net to manage rss feeds and if they have a file attached it downloads automatically the files to a folder. I know something about vb.net but in Xml i'm having my first steps.

I already managed to properly download content from links with this code i found online:

It works great for 99% of the feeds i found, the only problem are the ones that have the download url in an enclosure tag, like this example (the link is the url of the post, not the to the file):

i dont get the information inside the tag, it gives me back the whole xml doc.

As i mentioned i dont understand that much of Xml, but by now i tried a number of solutions i found online, even changing the method of getting the file, but mainly because of enconding problems this method has been the best for my project

If any of you could give me some insight i'd appreciate it.

I have a service to be used initialize phonestatelistener. service is started with two ways:

1-by BOOT_COMPLETED receiver (works fine listener is not null and catch the calls) 2-by my application with startService(new Intent(getApplicationContext(), MyPhoneStateListener.class));

problem is that when the service is started by my application then my application finish in this case my listener does not work. i know that TelephoneManager=null value. How can i provide that make The service intent going on when application finish?

it can add the id to the div but i don't know how to remove an id when a tag is removed. the one that i need help with is the removal of the id when a tag is removed.

this implementation of the functionality is not so clean, so if there is a cleaner way to do it, please let me know..

To be able to Insert to the PARENT_TABLE a new row, do I have to create a new Entity class with just two fields (PK_ONE, PK_TWO) to be able to use the merge() or persist() method?

Will I have to create another Entity class to Insert a new row to my CHILD_TABLE?

To retrieve a List with the existing data I have a method something like this:

I have a manager class that has a container that stores a bunch of objects; each object has an event (essentially saying it is done doing the thing it does). I would like the manager class to subscribe to the event and remove the object from the container when the event fires.

When you register with an object's event, does it register with all instances of that object, or is it instance specific?

So here is kind of what I am looking at:

Is it enough to have the manager class create an instance of the MyObject and then register with that object's event? That doesn't seem right to me; my instinct says that I would just be registered for the event of that one object, and not all instances of that object type.

Or is it that I need to register with each MyObject as I add it to the collection, and then unregister with it when it is removed?

Or is there a better way of handling this altogether?

I've wrote a script that reads all mail from an Exchange inbox and writes all sort of output (.txt files, folders, ..). Everything is working fine when I run this in the powershell ISE. The problem starts when I make a bat (powershell.exe C:\script.ps1) and schedule the bat in TaskManager. All folders are created, output files are created but they are empty. Normally, the content of a Global Variable goes into the file, but now it doesn't..

I'm doing something like this (look above). 'File.txt' is made, but it's empty. When I do a 'Write-Host $body' just above writing the file, I see nothing. So there is something wrong with the global variable (I think?). NOTE: When I run it in the ISE, the content is written, when I start the task in Task manager, the content ISN'T written.

Is this a permission problem/a global variable problem?

I searched in some other forums for related questions and the answer was to add it via the SDK Manager option in eclipse with :

Windows -> Android SDK Manager -> select needed tools -> install.

But the only tool i see at Tools is Android SDK Tools which is already installed. Checking for updates doesn't change anything.

Somebody please help.

it says to navigate to tools/ directory in terminal. Here are my steps.

1. Open terminal

2. cd Applications result is: No such file or directory

path to my tools directory is as follows

Applications->adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20130219  ->SDK -> tools

I tried putting my folder onto my desktop, both the tools folder, and my adt-bundle because I could change directory to my desktop, and when I enter ls to the terminal I see my tools folder, and my adt-bundle is there,

but the problem is when I try to enter

cd tools

or

cd adt-bundle(etc...)

it says that it is not a directory.

what do I do?

• Checking for updates (Help tab)

• Setting environment variables

This is how I'm storing these cookies to the cookieManager:

msCookieManager.put(COOKIES_URI, connection.getHeaderFields());

This is how I'm adding these cookies to the next connection:

Is it the right way to get the cookies from the cookieManager?, I'm quite sure there is a better one...

I have a situation when in page already is Google Analytics snippet which sends data to one account (Not mine).

And I have inserted Google Tag Manager snippet whit Google Analytics on it with different Tracking number to different account.. But my Tag Manager Google Analytics is not receiving any data. What can be problems here?

Everything looks like set correctly but still no data.

Can there be some kind of problem between GA orginal snippet and GTM?

I've just started working with Tivoli Common Reporting 2.1.1 using cognos.

Already installed the TCR and configured a datasource to a db2 database by going to: Reporting-Work with reports-Connection-Configuration-Ds connections.

I want to make a small test report connecting to that data base but since I am new to this technology I don't know how to.

Read somewhere that I need to have Framework Manager to create a model and then use Report or Query studio to create a report using that model. Can anyone help me by guiding me on how to start making this first test report?

From these I am assuming I need this framework, then I have to configure something in that software to point to my db2 then create something of a model. Then use report or query to handle this model and create a report. I've been reading manuals for a few days but can't seem to get it working otherwise. Is there anyway to get already made reports and configure them to use my db without using framework manager? since I think framework only works in windows and I installed it in a SUSE.

I would very much appreciate your input.
