I have a custom relationship (many to one) that I would like to export from one SugarCRM instance to another. All of the other module data has come across okay but the relationship data does not seem to be importable. Is there something I'm missing or will I just have to recreate my relations manually? Is it possible/advisable to go into the core db and try to extract this data?

Manual reproduction is do-able for this instance since it would only be about 60-80 relationships to recreate. In a larger instance though, I could see this being a dealbreaker (or a sort of lock-in).

I got this issue from some time ago, the Kreporter report module, on it's module section is a little confusing.

It has some of the modules i use on my sugarcrm installation repeated, can't figure out why.

As you can see in the image, there are some modules i got repeated there, and even some weird ones like: OAuth Token or OAuth Consumer Key these are not really modules isn'it? Same story with Union Modules.

I've looked in the KREporter tables in the sugar's database but no luck.

Any way to get this cleaned up?

I have created a custom view in Calls that is based on the editview but I want to change the save button to post back to a custom action in my custom controller. I think I basically need to overide the editview defs with my own defs. I have tried adding calllistviewdefs.php but this doesn’t seem to work.

What is the correct way to override edit view buttons in this case?

SugarCRM publishes a SOAP API, but I need to send the password in MD5 format compatible with the MD5 function of PHP as SugarCRM is built on PHP.

In PHP the MD5 function receives a string and returns a hexadecimal number of length 32.

The relationship between both is, One To Many (One Order to Many Stones). Accordingly, each record of Order Have A subpanel of stones (You can see it in the picture Attached). I want to synchronize A field from order with every change of a field in the subpannel (You can see it circled in red) - Price field at parent should be the sum of all same fields at subpanel.

So, I tried to use logic hooks like this:

The reason I need to hide it, because it opens the popup edit form, which has some bugs, and doesn't run some dependencies. Replacing this popup edit view with the normal edit view through JavaScript could be an option too.

It should be done in upgrade safe way.

I have the custom field "country_id_c" in both "User" and "CustomModule", I need to limit the user to see only lines from his region (filtering it by country_id_c). There are two search forms:

1. when you see the search result of CustomModule from menu

2. when you add CustomModule as a relationship to other module by using picker (pop up window).

I found how to filter the result in 1 case with hard-coded value:

Unfortunately re-ordering of the query is not possible due to the nature of SugarCRM. I've attempted optimizations via indexing, but I haven't gotten very far. That said, I'm not very proficient at doing such either.

Can you suggest any alternate indexing that will improve our results and avoid the filesort?

Here's what I have in mind:

[Date Field][date_picker_button]   [time field][time_is_now]

The button I want to add is the time_is_now, allowing the user to populate the time field with the current time.

I have tried updating custom/modules/Notes/metadata/quickcreatedefs.php with:

I'm trying to create a Custom Field in SugarOS 6 to store Middle Names. Designing and implementing the field in EditView was easy enough with the Studio. But I'm stuck when it comes to displaying the concatenated name parts in DetailView (i.e. Salutation + First Name + Middle Name + Last Name).

Foraging through the Sugar Forums got me to this thread which describes a way it can be done. I've implemented the code given there in the form of a Sugar logic hook that utilizes the after_retrieve hook that is called upon the loading of a record.

Here's my hook code:
